Listen, learn and reveal that energy is your choice. You will be presented with 9 simple steps to capture, release and let your energy flow from all levels. Starting with a clear grounding in the body where you will learn simple dietary strategies. You will be introduced to your key essentials minerals, proteins, and essential fatty acids and easy ways of making them a part of your daily routine. We will be discovering several simple ways of maximizing your optimal oxygen exchange and cleansing options will be addressed in a way that is fun and feasible in a busy lifestyle. During the event, we connect the dots between stress, weight gain, and energy loss with management strategies that will teach you not just to rely on stress removal, but rather help the body deal with it more effectively. In an integrative style, personal purpose and passion will draw the mind and spirit into a balanced energy. Once firmly grounded you will then learn what to do with all that abundant energy as you Choose It and then Use It.
Choose Energy Active - Outdoor Group Fitness with a Lifestyle Twist
Outdoor Group Fitness:
An one hour outdoor cross training program that puts your body through a multitude of strength training excercises (with and without weights) for all parts of your body (head to toe and everything inbetween). Combined with a vast variety of high intensity, toning and fat burning cardio to sculpt your body into what you have always wanted. All in the company of a supportive group environment and a highly energized coach.
The Lifestyle Twist - its the twist which makes success complete.
In the equation of success in all physical measure ie: weight, strength, endurance et al; nutrition is 75% of the equation.
Specifically, SUCCESS = 75% NUTRITION + 15% FITNESS + 10% GENETICS
In the lifestyle twist segment, we address all elements of nutrition. From learning what you should eat or what you should avoid, hydration, and supplementation to life coaching, goal setting, and a commitment to address what it is you really want. As well as learning how to create a successful environment for you to achieve all your goals.
Bonus: Tie all this in with a whole lot of fun, creativity and your new vigor for energy in all areas of your life and you will see and feel the transformational elements of Choose Energy Active every moment of every day!

A night to explore and acknowledge the beauty around and in us, all in the core context of learning about natural body care. In this special evening we will look at the wonders of natural personal care products.
Why they are important to our over all health?
What does natural or organic mean?
What are the key ingredients I want in my products and which ones do I need to be aware of?
Stories will be shared about some of the most amazing lines available on the market today and the choices they have made for you, the world and its people and the planet. As well as understanding the power of the synergy these choices make in the products we use. Over the evening we will spend quality time with all kinds of natural body care products. From head to toe and a few stops in between you will be covered - naturally. In this wholistic interactive seminar you be using, smelling, touching amazing products for you hair, skin, nails, teeth and toes. For you and your family this will be a night of sensory beauty.

Meet The Fitness Day ENERGY Team:
Allyson Johnson, Nutritionist, Lifestyle Coach, CEO "Chief Energy Officer", Choose Energy
Allyson enthusiastically educates people explaining how all those that are willing to choose to take the first step on this dynamic journey can achieve a healthy lifestyle. Allyson is a nutritionist and lifestyle coach with a twist. Her true passion is people & health. She has spent 18 plus years in the health, wellness & personal growth industry. With a background in nutrition, lifestyle coaching, physical training, as well as, western and eastern herbology, diagnostics and medicine. Allyson's enthusiasm for knowledge, as well as her extensive studies, have taken her across the globe. She has spent time in China, Europe and India where she studied and taught. She has mentored under, and worked with, some of the most renowned people in the health and personal growth industry. Allyson has a busy clinic in Calgary and an active lifestyle program specializing in a variety of modalities from both western & eastern medicine. Her approach to health is a balance and building of body, mind, and spirit. Finally, Allyson is an active marathon runner, triathlete and coach. She has successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, cleared the Salkante pass and Inca trail, and summited the Pinnacles and Mount Kinabalu (SE Asia's highest peaks)! All of this has offered insight into the nutritional and fitness levels required to be a performance or lifestyle athlete.
Jennifer Begg, BSc., CSEP, Physical Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, CFO " Chief Fitness Officer"
Jennifer has been involved in sports, physical activity and the outdoors from an early age. Growing up in northern British Columbia she was constantly involved with a variety of activities including swimming, track and field, volleyball, cross country skiing, soccer, hiking and camping. Jen moved to pursue her interest of health and fitness at the University of Calgary. She graduated in 2006 majoring in Exercise and Health Physiology and is also a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist. She began working in the fitness industry in 2003 and hasn’t looked back since. She has a passion for health and thrives on passing it along to others. She is always up for a new challenge or trying a new activity. She approaches each client with an open mind and positive outlook; providing constant motivation, support and that extra push to help them successfully meet their health and fitness goals. Jen feels that there is nothing better than seeing a client be successful in meeting their goals and knowing that she was part of it. Through the years she has spent in the fitness industry, Jen has also developed a love for healthy cooking and is always looking for new nutritious recipes to try and pass along!
Janice Piet, Certified Yoga instructor, Reiki master, owner of Mobility Yoga, Chief Yogi and Human Pretzel
From just one night a week of practicing yoga, Janice noticed immediate results; the calmness she felt after class and the muscle development in her body. So began the start of a passion and commitment to yoga. Eager to explore all types of yoga, Janice branched out to also study and practice Lyengar, Ashtanga, Bikram and Vinyasa flow styles of yoga. Janice teaches from a solid base of understanding the postures and sometimes uses quick inflections of humor to help one ride over the tough postures. Understanding that everyone starts at the beginning, she is also equipped to modify poses for beginner students. Janice is a dynamic, fun and joyful spirit eager to share her passion for yoga.
Kim Wedgerfield, Motivation and Inspiration Personified
A 51 year old single mom of two on a disability pension. CEO, Ministry of Health Addictions and starting her MBA when she was hit by a drunk driver in 1989. She then ended up with various physical and brain injuries that changed the course history of her life. As an AWAD (Athlete With A Disability) now called Paratriathlete, she competed in numerous sprint Olympic distance events since 1997 and has stood on the podium many times. Diagnosed with Huntington's in 2002, hit by a car while riding her bicycle in 2004, she just kept going. Kim competed at the World Master's Games in 2005 and won gold. She qualified to compete in the ITU Triathlon World Championships in Lausanne and she won gold for Canada on her 48th birthday at that World Championship race. In May 2007, after a horrific crash that left her in the hospital for 3 months, she was released. Six weeks later she raced in Edmonton and qualified for both Hamburg, Germany and Vancouver, Canada ITU Triathlon World Championships. She won a silver in Hamburg and a gold in Vancouver.
Kim has been awarded athlete of the week by CTV, having been named both Alberta Provincial and Canadian National Female AWAD Athlete of the Year for 2006, 2007 and 2008. Kim also received gold in both 2008 and 2009 at the Canadian National Triathlon Championships in Kelowna, B.C.
